The project titled, Civil Defense: The Strategic Humanitarian Crisis Response Game is a cooperative table top board game of long term strategy and quick tactics that simulates humanitarian work in the fictional archipelago of Calidonia.
Civil Defense is a humanitarian relief simulation board game that teaches players on the basics of managing humanitarian missions across several scenarios, from shelter assistance, food relief distribution, medical missions, etc. It builds upon proven methods of simulated play in teaching disaster risk reduction and management to stakeholders involved in the DRRM cycle (preparedness, response, and recovery). The game is recommended for users aged 13 up with adult supervision for those 12 and below.
The project is currently crowdfunding at the spark project, acquire institutional endorsements from CHED, DEPED, DILG and/or NDRRMC, and launch a commercially viable product for individuals, households and organizations.
